An Arts on the Grounds presentation at the Clark Library

Chalk Repertory Theatre presents
Tea With Shaw

Directed by Laura Stribling
with actors from Chalk Rep’s company

The Clark Library welcomes back Chalk Repertory Theatre, whose production of Lady Windermere’s Fan was presented in 2013–14, for Tea with Shaw: an afternoon tea and staged reading of George Bernard Shaw’s classic comedy Misalliance, performed outdoors in the garden.

Set in the garden pavilion of an English country home in 1909, Misalliance presents an entangled web of parents and children, lovers and losers, and explores the explosive conflicts that erupt when their interests are all terribly misaligned… and a plane crashes from the sky.

This event is outdoors and seating will be provided, but please feel free to bring picnic blankets for lawn seating.

Tickets are $20 and include the reading and refreshments.

Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis and are non-refundable.

Arts on the Grounds creates intersections of literature and the performing arts.  A copy of George Bernard Shaw’s Misalliance, along with quite a few of his other works, can be viewed at UCLA’s William Andrews Clark Memorial Library.  For more information about the Clark Library’s holdings, please visit http://clarklibrary.ucla.edu.
