Miró String Quartet collaborates with violist Masumi Per Rostad

When we consider which ensembles to invite, one thing we look at is what programs they will be offering.  We were intrigued to see that the Miró String Quartet, who had played at the Clark twice before, would be collaborating this year with noted violist Masumi Per Rostad.  And we were excited to learn that one of their proposed programs comprised the two Brahms viola quintets (so called because the instrument added to the string quartet is a viola).  These wonderful pieces had never been performed in the thirty years of our series, so we were thrilled to have the chance to present them for our season finale this year.
