Encore Performance of The Selma Moidel Smith Recital at the William Andrews Clark Memorial Library

Published: May 7, 2025

On Sunday, May 4 the Center was pleased to present an encore performance of The Selma Moidel Smith Recital at the William Andrews Clark Memorial Library (@clark_library).

The recital featured performances by pianist Davide Di Rienzo (@diridavide), pianist and composer Kaitlin Webster-Zuber, and pianist Emily Webster-Zuber (@emilyandkaitlinwebsterzuber).

The artists presented “Reflections,” a program featuring works by Franz Liszt, Selma Moidel Smith, Kaitlin Webster-Zuber, and Cecile Chaminade.

The Moidel Smith Family, in conjunction with the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music (@uclaalpert), awarded Davide and Kaitlin a scholarship to present The Selma Moidel Smith Recital at UCLA in April 2025. Each year’s recital features an exceptional piano student in the School of Music who performs original compositions by Selma Moidel Smith, other works, and a world premiere by a UCLA student composer. This year’s recital featured the premiere of an original composition by Kaitlin Webster-Zuber.

Congratulations to Davide, Kaitlin, and Emily! It was a pleasure to enjoy such a lovely afternoon of music in the Clark Library’s Drawing Room.
